SpikeStick.
A lot of stage managers have their own version of a spike stick. Some are on dowel rods. Some are on pencils. This one is different. This version uses a sexy clear plexi rod as the base and contains five feet of every color of spike tape that Rosebrand carries. Between the two shades of yellow there is space for it to snap onto the accompanying holster, making it easy to use or hand off to someone else and then return it to its place on your belt. No more clunky rolls of tape on a loop of tie line.
The Practice Cue Light Box.
This is a practice cue light box affectionately known to the Radio City Christmas Show touring SM team as "Home Game". This simple yet flexible box allows you to have productive practice sessions while learning to call a new show that utilizes cue lights. Muscle memory is key to learning this aspect of a show and this box allows you to practice from home, the office, or anywhere that is not the actual calling desk.
Look out for Home Game 2.0 which will have working indicator lights to more closely resemble a cue light box at the theater.
